Connecting the logical & the magical

At Amsterdam Dance Event 2019, First Day of Spring and Spotify teamed up to present the Music & Brands Breakfast. Exquisite food, inspiring talks and intimate live music performances at The Loft – the penthouse venue on the 16th floor of the ADAM Tower.

Short recap

Kicking off the morning author Arne van Terphoven put the ADAM Tower in its historical perspective. From Gallowfield and Gabber to Shell, Sensation and Dutch Dance world domination.

British fashion icon Burberry is renowned for its work with music and musicians. Former Burberry global director of Music Dave Chase gave insight in devising a consistent and highly regarded soundtrack for Burberry.

A brand starting a festival? Georgia McDonnell Adams (The Absolut Company) and Jo Vidler (Elrow) spoke about their new festival Gardenium, creating culture together.

With examples of Greenpeace’s Homeless Polar Bear and the ADE Bridges for Music cycling tour Nick Sabine (Resident Advisor) and James Turner (Glimpse) manifested the responsibility of brands, marketing and music to deliver a meaningful impact on wider society.

Magical music performances were provided by piano prodigy Matteo Myderwyck, the always soulful Full Crate featuring Gaidaa and British breakthrough artist Tom Walker performing his global smash hit "Leave the light on".
